[Bondurant, Iowa, January 8, 2024] Effective 9:00 am CST January 8th, 2024 the City of Bondurant Snow Ordinance will be in effect due to the winter weather.
The City of Bondurant is expected to receive moderate to heavy snowfall amounts ranging from 6 to 11 inches starting mid-morning on Monday, January 8th, 2024, and lasting until Tuesday afternoon.
This event is expected to impact travel, especially the Monday evening and Tuesday morning commute. Travel will most likely be hazardous, and whiteout conditions could be experienced on Tuesday as the wind is expected following the snowfall.
Mains Roads and Residential Collector Streets will be the priority focus during the event. Public Works asks residents for their patience and cooperation as crews work to clear the roadways.
Residents and motorists are encouraged to continue monitoring the weather conditions and plan their activities accordingly as travel will be dangerous at times.
